The airline

An airline, run like one

Aeromexico Virtual flies the Aeroméxico network inside Infinite Flight to a standard our members are proud of: realistic operations, a calendar worth turning up for, and a route structure that rewards flying rather than waiting.

Most virtual airlines are a spreadsheet with a logo on it. We wanted the opposite: an operation you could actually join, fly, and get somewhere in.

So everything here is arranged around the flying. Hours credit themselves off your real Infinite Flight history. Rank is arithmetic, not a favour — cross the threshold and the promotion is already applied. Every route we publish is one Aeroméxico flies and one you can load into the sim tonight. And when we get something wrong, we say so, in plain terms, quickly.

If that sounds like the airline you have been looking for, the application takes about three minutes. I read them.

The airline on paper

What we hold ourselves to

Four things, and we are held to them

These are not a values poster. Each one is a rule somebody can point at when the airline is not keeping to it.

Flight operations

What flying the callsign involves

Pilots fly as AEROMEXICO plus their flight number on the Expert Server. These are the standards behind the callsign — the same ones Flight Operations validates reports against.

Before the flight

A full flight plan with a routing appropriate to the sector, SID and STAR where published. Fuel and payload loaded realistically — no minimum-fuel long-haul, no empty widebodies. Weather checked, and an alternate planned for long-haul.

In flight

Expert Server rules and every ATC instruction, without exception. 250 knots below 10,000 feet and standard climb and descent profiles. Fly the whole sector — timewarp only where Infinite Flight itself allows it, and never on a group flight.

On the network

A pilot in our colours represents the airline. Arguing with controllers, deliberate interference with other traffic and breaches of Infinite Flight's community rules are disciplinary matters wherever they happen.

Flight reporting

Hours come from validated reports

A report is filed through the crew centre within 48 hours of landing, and Flight Operations validates it within 72. A report is rejected where the evidence does not support it, the routing was not flown, the flight was not completed, or the aircraft was not the one published for that route — and it comes back with the reason.

A rejected report may be resubmitted once. A pilot who disagrees with a rejection may appeal to the COO.

Every report carries

  • Flight number, origin and destination
  • Aircraft type and registration
  • Block time, and the Infinite Flight session it was flown in
  • Evidence — a screenshot of the arrival, or the Infinite Flight logbook entry
Where this is going

The first twelve months

From the Operations Plan, with the measure against each one. Operations are reviewed against this every quarter by the CEO and COO.

Conduct

One standard, staff included

Treat other members and the wider Infinite Flight community with respect. Harassment, discriminatory conduct, deliberate disruption of other pilots and falsified flight reports are what this exists for.

Any outcome may be appealed to the CEO within 14 days. Falsifying a flight report is treated as a serious breach at first instance. Sanctions imposed by Infinite Flight itself — and by the IFVARB — are honoured by the airline.

Informal word

First minor lapseNoted verbally, nothing recorded.

Written warning

Repeat, or a first serious lapseRecorded on the member's file.

Suspension

Repeated warnings or a serious breachFlying and event access withdrawn, 7–30 days.

Removal

Severe breach, or conduct after suspensionMembership ends.

The people

Someone is accountable for each of these

Six departments, each owning its area day to day. Names, remits and Infinite Flight Community profiles are on the staff page.

Meet the staff

Regulated, and glad to be.

Aeromexico Virtual operates in compliance with the IFVARB. Where anything in our plan conflicts with a Board requirement, the Board's requirement wins and our plan is amended to match.
