From Cadet to the left seat
Rank does two things here. It releases more of the fleet, and it raises the longest sector you are allowed to file. That second one is the part that makes the ladder mean something: a Cadet flies Guadalajara, and Tokyo is a sector no rank below Senior Captain may book at all.
Promotion is arithmetic, not a favour
Hours are credited the moment a flight report is validated. Cross a threshold and the promotion lands in your crew center — no application, no waiting for somebody to notice you.
Sectors released at each rank
Counted off the published network. Each rank keeps everything the ranks below it opened, so the running total is what you can file the day you are promoted.
| Rank | Hours | Longest sector | New sectors | Total flyable |

Everyone starts at Cadet.
Ten hours is one long-haul or four Connect sectors. The ladder moves faster than it reads.
